If you utilize HP products within your infrastructure, you’ll be pleased to learn that HP delivers management packs that complement and extend System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2. HP Enterprise servers, Blade System enclosures, HPE Virtual Connect, and a variety of Storage arrays and systems can be managed with the available management packs which you can obtain from the HPE website.
I intend for this series to address the dearth of documentation on the web about configuring monitoring of HP systems using System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager (SCOM), and also to share my experiences configuring HP Management packs with the community. The series will be comprised of steps for monitoring HP servers and storage respectively. Articles in this series include:
1. HP Server Monitoring with HPE SCOM Integration Kit (x64/x86) v3.1. Overview
2. Installing the HPE SCOM Integration kit (x64/x86) v3.1
3. Configuring the HPE SCOM Integration kit (x64/x86) v3.1
4. HP Storage Monitoring with HP Storage Management Pack v4.2.1. Overview
5. Installing and Configuring HP Storage Management Pack v4.2.1
